NAVY GRADUATION FEB 4th

Posted on February 2, 2011 at 2:06pm 3 Comments

Is anyone out there trying to make the graduation on Friday the 4th in Chicago?  I am trying to make it as I have a flight for tomorrow and I am scared I am going to get stuck at the airport or train station and not be able to get to my hotel or over to the graduation.  Does anyone have any help they know of?  I tried to call Public Affairs but they are closed today due to weather.  I would appreciate any help or advice as I am really scared traveling by myself.

Glad you heard from him. And yes SD is much more appealing that GL...I belive the temps in SD have been in the low 80's. I'll take that over GL anytime...lol...

Hello Liz, My name is Josefina(mama bear). Our son was not happy at first to stay at GL, but now he has meet family we have in Chicago so he is happy to be where family is near by. He told us he dosen't plan to go off base unless it's with family. He dosen't want to leave any room for him getting into trouble.

We are from California and I am so happy to be back even if the temps are in the 30's I'll take 30's over single diggets any time!!!

Where are you from?

Hi spencersmom, She is renting her own car from the airport so I don't think she will need help with transportation, I will ask her though!

Hi spencersmom---my name is Jan....welcome to N4M's!! What a crazy ride..huh?

We are so upset about this weather. Can you believe that they hold 52 graduations a year and this had to happen on our week?? We cant wait to see our sailors and now we have to worry about the weather.:(

My son is in division 061 and is looking froward to us coming up tomorrow. Im not going to let him down. We are driving from PA and hope to be there by sometime tomorrow...late afternoon. We  are staying at the Ramada, i just called them and they are still open and have power..so all is good so far.

There is a Meet & Greet at the Ramada from 6-8 pm if you are interested. Everyone is invited (loved ones also). If you have any questions about anyhting....just ask me on the main board, send me a message privately thru your inbox (upper right hand corner of your screen) or leave a comment like this on my page (just click on my screenname and scrolldown).

I hope to hear back from you.:))
