ok so let's see if we can figure this out.....my Sailor arrived in Pcola 9-30-10 and he graduated on FRIDAY, April 22, 2011. his time in Pcola was pretty much normal and he had orders BEFORE he graduated. MarineNavyMom's girl graduated before my son BUT her orders were on "hold" and she waited an additional SIX weeks before hopping over to Keesler AFB at Biloxi. once your Peace Chick starts A school you'll have more to ponder if she can make it to her brother's graduation. i wish i could be more help to you now but for now it's all pretty much a guessing game. i am truly impressed on how you are really working hard in understanding your daughter's new Navy Life!!! i am going to send you an email with tips you might want to pass along to your Sailor Girl about life while she is in Pcola.
Happy you are so welcome! brother graduating BCT....got a date yet? if it's on a Friday i would guess she stands a pretty good chance. if she is already in A school....then it might depend on her class standing. and yes she does have a LOT of schooling ahead. ATIs have one of the most intense trainings. after she gets her orders from A school you'll know where she's headed....sea or shore. i hear the Navy is tightening up and EVERYONE is going to do sea duty....sooner rather than later. i LOVE her graduation pic...Peace out! hehehehe what a chicka!!!!
Now, that's not fair...you're not allowed to make me cry! LOL
You are very welcome...and CONGRATULATIONS on your New Sailor! Have a blast at the Meet and Greet and a fantastic time at PIR and on Liberty!
I can't wait either. I finally talked to Questioning Serenity and not a mom with a son Spencer mentioned. I wish I could find some more but it is what it is. I'm going to make my own ribbon I guess, My last name is too long :( I sent Lala a message about it and she didn't respond yet but I know she's working. I don't want a navy mom one because I'd like people to know my sons last name when we meet. I just get a longer ribbon. My friend is really crafty so I can get it done.
Hey there, no phone call yet but letters.. He said he is the Ship Staff Yeoman, they are doing good.. Yep its almost time for PIR.. I am so excited and hopefully I will get to meet you there...
:-) :-)
Hello Happy Feet, I signed up for the Ramada Meet and Greet as soon as I got my son's letter letting me know when he PIR'ed. I also made reservations there but have since cancelled. I am planning on going to Sarges and NOT the Ramada one. I too am looking forward to meeting every one.
Hey Stacy, I e-mailed the Public Affairs Office about the gate pass and will let you know when I hear something. My SR said that they were going to the firing range on Friday to do live fire. He said they got 2 flags on Thursday one for PFA (personal fitness assessment) and one for zone inspection. That is where all of their clothes get check to make sure they are folded right. He said their division got 4.75 out of 5.0. He is telling me a lot more which I am very glad. I will let you know if I hear anything else.
Hi Stacy, I got a letter today, great surprise I usually get them on Thursday. He sounds so up-beat which makes me very happy. He is doing very well. Yes I am going to the meet and greet, will be in early want to check things out. I am wanting to find out about the division shirts that I saw something about before, do you know anything about them? I let you know what I find out.
