OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hi there - our son is also scheduled to graduate Power School on 12/13.  We had a long talk with him yesterday (our usual Sunday talk!) and we know it's coming down to the wire now.....I'm more worried than he is, but I know there is some concern on his end too.  They have 2 big tests this week and then thankfully a short week next for Thanksgiving!  Comps has me stressed out!  Our son is really hoping to get BS for prototype - what about yours?  It was good to hear that they will have leave for the holidays :)  We are finally shipping his car to him.  It's scheduled to leave this Friday.  I just hope everything goes smoothly with that!  Will you be going to PS grad?  We need to find a way for all us N4M's to meet up there ;-)

Hey--I live in Shawnee. SMNW district. My son PIR October 5 and is in Goose Creek as an MM.  He will be home Dec 22 to Jan5.

He was out of the OP office--1st recruiter was Graham, who was a submariner.  Graham was sent to KCK, so Packard became his contact.  They told us that Jo Co produces a LOT of nukes because the school districts are so good.

Good to know a fellow Navy Mom.
