Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Roses's Blog – January 2011 Archive (3)

Day 6

Day 6... See I can still count. lol

 

So today was good, spent the day at the house, dad did the dishes for the boys. We did some laundry. Storm Chaser slept most of the day. Dad is teasing him with cat treats. I am not sure who is having more fun, dad or the cat.

 

So if and when you need anything, let me know. Even things we did not talk about.

Day 5...

Day 5... yes I believe it is 5....



So hows it going? Here it is a slow start to the day. dad is still sleeping, something about not being able to sleep regular night time hours, I think he is still a night owl, and he will always will be.



Good news the cat is a sleep, again! talked to Gretty yesterday, she is already  putting things together to send to you. her and the girls will be making you a card or pics or something for snail mail. I did send her pics of the ship, so… Continue

Deployment days 1-4 reminders of home.

So being a mom of a Sailor on the USS Enterprise that deployed 5 days ago. I send him daily emails. I just give him the daily highlights and add a few things I think he will like to read. Here are the emails I sent for days 1-4. Have not written  today's email.

So today we got the tire fixed, AAA sent someone to come and change it, no worries. Duh why did we not…
