Yvonne is now at Lake Taylor Rehabilitation Hospital. That was our first choice. God answered prayer! Now we need to settle in for how they do things here. She is in room Azalea 23. God is restoring her to health and healing her wounds! She will be evaluated tomorrow and start rehabilitation therapy on Monday.

Yvonne's surgery went well. Got up today at 3:30 and we're at the hospital at 5:30. Took her to the operating room at 8:00. The procedure started at 9:00 and ended at 1:00. Sarah came down and kept me company all day. Yvonne has been in her room since about 2:30. Having a pretty hard time waking up from the anesthesia. But she is coming around. She ate well when she got to her room. Thank you all for your prayer support and expressions of love. They are so much appreciated!

Please pray for us. Yvonne goes in for surgery to fuse the vertebrae right above where the last one began with the others. The surgery is on January 24th at 0730 in the morning. Please pray for Dr. Shuff as well and his surgical team.

We told the doctor this morning that we want to go ahead with the surgery. His nurse said they would be getting back to us with details about scheduling. Please keep us in prayer, as we know you already have been, and we thank you for that. You will never know how grateful we are for your love and prayer support!

First things first.....New Moms.... Take a Deep Breath in....... Let it out...... Take another one......... Let it out....... Repeat continuously!!! Just keep breathing and it will all be OK!! We haven’t lost a mom to Boot camp yet, we won’t start with you.
If your Child has NOT left yet, Read on. IF THEY HAVE LEFT Skip to the next section. Nothing here is critical, but it is useful.
If your Recruit has not left yet: have him or her leave you…

We finally saw doctor today and got the results of Yvonne's MRI. The level above where the surgeon fused her spine has some serious stenosis in it and is causing her set back. The doctor suggested there were a few things that could be done, but none of them would solve the problem. The most viable option is another surgery to decompress the nerves at that level and connect it to the area done before. It would be a much shorter surgery - only two to three hours versus 13 hours…
