I was wondering if there is a place for extra guests to go and maybe watch the PIR since they aren't allowed into PIR, or do they just need to hang out in the hotel room? Thanks in advance :)

I got back from my daughter's PIR yesterday!!!! It was indescribable!!!! I saw her, I hugged her.... She was my "baby" but has changed in so many ways. I am so proud of her. The weekend was wonderful! I would not change a thing except of course to have had more time with her and the mess with the airports (but I won't dwell on the negative, just glad we made it home)
I do want to say God Bless you and THANK YOU to who every turned in my sailor's cell phone!!! My oldest daughter had…

It has been a full 2 weeks since my son left for boot camp, and so I can't wait for the 3 week phone call. I cant wait to hear how's he's doing. His graduation is in November and I'm really hoping that we don't get hit by crazy cold weather. Praying.... Im so excited to see his face and how he has changed because I know this experience is going to change him. He was a great kid before he went in, and I know he's going to be a wonderful young man after training.
Are there any other…

I'm so excited to say that I received my sons form letter today. I have written my son a letter everyday since he left for bc on 9/17. It made me happy to be able to write his address on all eight letters that I had set aside waiting to mail. After doing so I quickly ran to the post office to get them out today. I wish I could see my sons face when he sees his letters. I know it will make him feel so loved and missed and to know how proud his family is of him. Now I look forward to receiving…

He’s doing Great & has passed all of his tests so far! Got a horrible sounding cough, but doesn’t sound like a head cold, thank goodness!! He sounded dog-tired (just finished a march) but his excitement about this experience & his future has never sounded so sharp & precise! The maturity, focus & seriousness in his voice just warmed my SOUL!! This is the Absolute Best I’ve felt since he left (3 Sep!)
I could hear the transformation taking shape in his life, but…

I finally received my sons box today after anxiously waiting for seven days. I sure thought that it would have come sooner than that. I feel like it's all to real now, not that I didn't think so when he left on that plane. Now I hope to receive the form letter by the end of the week since most moms say they have received theirs within ten days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm so ready to start planning my trip for PIR!!! I miss my Sailor and can't wait to hug him!!!
