OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Phone card advice please

Can any on you advise me where I can get a phone card? I received a letter today from my brother today and he asked if I can send him a phone card. I have looked at Walmart before and at Walgreens, but I couldn’t find anything. Will any of you please let me know where I can get this? I know they can buy it at the base, but I’m assuming he doesn’t have a lot of money. Also ... he rarely ask for anything, I would hate not to send this. Thank you.

Daughter leaves December 10

I am new and this is so confusing for me. My daughter will leave December 10 to Great Lakes but I have really not been informed of anything other than the date that she is leaving. I know nothing of what will happen after she leaves my door and it terrifies me!
