Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

what A weekend!

Hello everyone! Well the weekend is over and a hard time saying good bye AGAIN! The big call just came in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M A SAILOR!!!!!!!!

Well words can't express the feeling. Pride,excitement jitters and tears all wrapped up into one.Ian I'm so proud of you. You have made me so Proud and becoming a E3 before you graduate has made me even prouder. You sure have become a great man over these past few weeks. so Excited i can't hardly stand it!

Well we parents of a new sailor have 4 days till graduation. I'm waiting for my I'm a sailor phone call and am ready to burst. The fear of something going wrong and the excited of his passing are racing threw my bones. As moms we tend to go over the edge sometimes , but i'm so far over i feel like it's a nightmare. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy I'm getting very excited 11 days and counting. Can't wait to see him and hear all the stories it will be a grand time. Very excited about the two new friends I met on NFM'S they have been a joy to talk to over these last few weeks . We are all missing our son's bad. Glad we can be here for each other. If you don't have a countdown clock check one out there are fun to have.See you all in two weeks a proud day PIR April 30th 2010.

Proud

Hello! I'm so proud of my son just received letters 7 and 8 . I only got one phone call,but he offered no complaints on the phone or in a letter.That makes me so proud of him. He could say lots of bad stuff I guess but he said mom it's only 8 weeks and it's not that bad as long as you don't talk. I was expecting at least one complaint. But all is well and he is doing well. What more could I ask for.Now waiting for BS test can't wait for the I'm A SAILOR call.I pray everyone does well on there… Continue

Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone I got my first phone call last night 27 mins. of heaven hearing his voice. He sounds so good and that sure puts my heart at ease. He didn't complain about anything but missing us. He said it is not that bad and he is doing well. Counting the days til PIR and so are we 30 days to go . I'm so proud of him and Even prouder of him that he is trying so hard to do well. My son My Sailor

My son is a fine young man and he made the choice to join the Navy to serve this country. The Navy will mold him into a fine Sailor. He is proud of his choice and I'm proud of him.I can't thank him enough for his choice to be a proud member of the U. S. Navy. I LOVE YOU IAN.

So proud of my sailor on Ship 12 Div 175

Well I am 2 weeks in and it is still as hard as day one . I am doing really great so proud of myself for excepting these whole thing and moving on to support my sailor 100%.He will always be my son and and now he is a fine recruit soon to be a fine sailor. A man now I could not be prouder of the choice he mad. Life is all about change and he has changed his own life and mine both for the better. How can I ever thank he for his choice. I love you Ian and you have made me very PROUD.
