Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello everyone! Well the weekend is over and a hard time saying good bye AGAIN! But not as hard as the first. you are proud (So Proud) are now you want to see them go even farther.when our son told us he made E3 we were so proud of him, and now can't wait till he is 6 month in to A school he can test for chief petty officer 3rd class before he is out of A school. Wow So much has changed in 8 short well let me change that 8 LONG weeks.LOL.He has really changed and for the better I might add. He is such a fine man wish everyone in my family could have enjoyed our first visit with him but thank God we have a cell . Everywhere you looked there was a new sailor on the phone.How did we ever live without then????????????The weekend was so short but packed full. Can't wait to go visit again.I was very glad to meet to very few of you I got to meet. We will always have a sense of family with all of you.To all of you awaiting your weekend, get ready for the best weekend of your life!!!!!!!!

It sounds like your son just got done with bootcamp. Is he in the Nuclear program? The same thing is happening to my son. He wants to be an officer now, but we will see when school is done. He is still going to apply for it. He did change and it seems like he grew too. lol The minute we saw our son, it was like where is the cell phone at. All of the sailor's were telling their parents' to stop asking so many questions. He told me that it was time to relax for him. We only got to see him for one day, because he had to fly out to make more room for other sailors'. I am so happy that I found this site, and that I can talk to other parents' and share how we feel. It is nice to have a support group.

My husband graduation is may 14th and I was wondering what there is to do on Liberty weekend for entertainment.
