Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

no news IS truely good news!

Well I got the call today that none of us wants to get.My phone rang and I heard my sons voice on the other,at 1st I was excited until I heard him struggling with the words "something happened",no one wants to hear that.I asked what happened and he went on to say he was having chest pain and he went to medical and they did alot of tests and told him what was wrong but he forgot what they said.Bottom line they are seperating him and he said once his problem is resolved he can go back in (I think… Continue

Don't think we will ever get a letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my son left for BC on june 23rd and we still have not heard anything besides the box and the PIR letter.What the heck is going on??????? I'm soooooo frustrated!HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

?phone cards?

Does anyone out there know what the best phone card to get is.I bought one today but I think its 99 cents a minute.I know there must be something better out there.

Finally got the PIR letter

PIR letter

I'm hoping for my PIR letter today,I already made our hotel reservations for aug 19.I just want to know that is the actually date.I'm so excited about going to BC graduation.I have friends who have a son that was in the navy and they went for graduation and said there is nothing in the world like it...i can't wait! COME ON LETTER!

Miss my son!

I'm sitting here watching the boston pops fire works and they are playing the national anthem.I miss my son more then I ever thought I could possibly ever miss him. All those times they get on your nerves,and look at what they are doing now.I am so damn proud of all these kids.GOD BLESS THEM!

going to the dntist??

So my husband keeps going on different bootcamp websites and told me that all recruits get their wisdom teeth removed during bootcamp wether they need it or not.If anyone could let me know if this is true I would really appreciate it.
