So my husband keeps going on different bootcamp websites and told me that all recruits get their wisdom teeth removed during bootcamp wether they need it or not.If anyone could let me know if this is true I would really appreciate it.

Thank you all for the info.I was worried sick cause my son has never had anything like that done and to be away from home would make it even worse,Just wait till I get ahold of my husband,he's lucky he had his out cause I would yank them just for the heck of it.LOL But really thanks again you have put my mind at ease!

I did have him to the dentist and I asked about them and he didn't seem to worried but i wasn't thinking about the fact that they would just rip them out in BC just to be safe.I really don't agree with that. Thanks for the info

My daughter had hers pulled the week before last which was week 2 at bootcamp. She was supose to get them pulled the first week before she even started training. But that didn't happen til a little after week 2.

My son had his pulled out the 2nd week.  He had only 2 in his mouth and they had never given him trouble.  He didn't complain and kind of pumped about 2 days bed rest.

I had my son's wisdom teeth pulled before he left.  I don't regret it one bit.  I know I had to pay for it but I had my teeth pulled by a Navy Dentist 25 years ago and I had problems.

My son went to the dentist & oral surgeon before BC. They recommended he have them out, but if not bothering him, he could wait. He decided NOT to have this done....the first letter that we got from him  he told us he and 40 others just had their wisdom teeth out the day he was writing the letter!  ANYway:::  Some good news, some of the recruits don't seem to mind because they get 1-2 days of rest, plus you aren't paying the dentist bill!!!  Good luck.   11/237

My daughter haad no problem with her wisdom teeth in fact they weren't even in yet. ANd they pulled all four teeth . And she said she was sick from them pulling them. She didn't have to do too rigorous things but still had to participate with the others.

OMG, I pray Sam doesn't have to get his pulled. The recovery is hard.
