Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

3rd week in and just recieved letters!!

Yeah!!!!! I recieved my son's 1st letters yesterday almost 3 weeks to the day, so moms and dads that are still waiting hang in there!! His comic humor really made me laugh and I took it as a good sign. He called the rdc's similar to satin but in human form, lol!!! His letter was actually really funny, though I know deep down it's the hardest thing to date he's done at 18 1/2.Have not gotten the phone call yet, though my phone is glued to my hip. " Just recieved the form letter!!!!"

1 week to the day I said goodbye to my son I recieved the form letter, his handwriting was so nice and neat. I was like this is a good sign. Great little note on the inside and because it has the return address I immediatly sent out the 2 letters I had already written!! Hopefully he gets them by Sunday. He is on ship 09, div 249. I really would like 1 more ticket for his girlfriend to come as well. August 5th. Can any one tell me do they ever make exceptions for 1 additional person to come?????… Continue

I just recieved the "box"

I just recieved my son's "box" with his personal belongings in it and a small note that said "I love you guy's" on a small tiny piece of paper. What I was curious about is I know the next piece of mail I should be recieving is the "form Letter" can somebody tell me whats on this letter? Doe's it have my son's return address, and what else may be on there?

My son arrived at boot camp yesterday!!

After a long journey from the adirondacks to chicago, il, I finally recieved the call from my son that he was there. What made that phone call even better was all 3 of his closest friends were over checking in on me to make sure I was doing ok when this strange number appeared on my phone. Knowing that I would get that 1 call once he arrived I picked up that phone to hear his voice say "mom I'm here". All of us starting yelling and cheering, I hope that gave him some strengh and encouragement… Continue

My son is leaving for boot camp tuesday the 14th of june!!!

Next Monday I will officially be saying goodbye to my son as he heads for boot camp. It's been a year since he was sworn in and that was the fastest year that I've ever seen fly by. I've been having my moments, but yesterday I could not stop crying. 18 1/2 still seems so young but I guess this is the process of life.
