Week Two

Still waiting patiently for a letter. Just hope he is ok. Miss him lots, feel like no one understands why I want to go to his PIR than miss it. I just want to see what he has been working so hard to achieve. And how much he has grown up. Does this make any sense?

Heard From Son Tonight

I am in a little better mood got to hear my sons voice on the phone tonight. He said he is doing as well as to expected since it is boot  camp. He said see you at graduation, so I think we are going to try and make it happen. He also said he sent a letter with his graduation date. Now I am more hopefully and alittle more at ease....Still miss him but that is to be expected.

Day Four Got Box

I received a box with my son's clothes, cell phone, copy of flight schedule, and his boarding pass. Was excited at first because I thought his address would be in there, but still have to wait. Still missing him, having empty nest syndrome, did not miss him this much when he moved to Valdosta with his older brother, maybe because… Continue

DAY ONE OF EIGHT WEEKS

This is harder than I thought it would be. I am fine as long as no one says my sons name then I tear up.i know this time will be good for him and hopefully go by fast. I also realize he knew what he was doing when he signed up. It is just hard, and I will miss him terribly until he comes home. Just want god to keep his safe .
