Wish I would get another phone call or letter

I know when Zach called he said it would be another three weeks before we heard from him again but it seems like forever.  I told him he didn't have to write if he didn't have time to write everyone.  To write to some of the other people writing him and I would hear through them and now I am thinking that was a mistake because I so desperately want to hear something.....can't wait till we get to go and see him....I miss my boy more then I ever thought possible.....

Phone call yesterday at 6 pm

Son called yesterday evening and it was wonderful hearing his voice for the first time in three weeks.  He said everything is going great...Just has to practice folding...I guess he means his clothes..oh yeah that would be foreign to him...LOL..he said PT isn't that bad because they build you up to it....classes are going great...he misses his free time and he asked if we got his car painted yet.....so much more ...but a great half hour of conversation....was so great to talk to him.....hard… Continue

Waiting for the call home

When he called from the airport the first time he left he said I can call again in about three weeks.  Its been 12days and I am still counting the days till I can hear from him again.....Sent so many letters and cards already and still I need to hear from him or at least get a little letter.  The waiting is nerve wracking for sure.

Sending another letter in a card

Searched for encouraging cards yesterday at the Hall Mark store.  Found a lot of cards but had to be careful that the envelope didn't have a drawing on it or was a funny color.  I was warned not to have anything cutsie on the envelope to draw attention to the recruit.  LOL....want to keep him under the radar of the instructors attention.  I hope can see the strong words of encouragement now at a time when nothing seems possible....I hear it takes a few weeks before they finally see that… Continue

Got my package yesterday

Was surprised to see Fed Ex at my door.  I thought they could donate their clothing but it all came back home.  Rolled into a ball with his phone and Ipod in this shoes....later got the form from the Navy that they fill out to give their graduation date and list of invitees as well as a short note at the bottom from my son....

Anything he said was well worth seeing his writing and knowing he was fine.....
