For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I have a friend that has a son in the ARMY, he just enlisted and has been in bootcamp for 3 months, she has been able to access a video and pictures on a web page that shows what they are doing and where they are in their trainings. She has been printing pictures of her son from these postings.
Does the NAVY offer this too? anyone know?
I'm aware they are a totally different branch/uniform but it's worth the search.

Victor phoned home the other day. He sounds positive and maybe a bit tired. He told me he passed the PT test with flying colors and his written test too.
He is so sweet...I'm not sure how it all went or how the phone calls home are organized but while talking to him in the first minute I can hear some guys swearing up a storm, Victor asked they guy "Hey man whats wrong" the guy says something about the F'n phone so Victor apologizes to him and says to me "Okay mom, I should talk fast…

My Son Victor has been in Boot Camp since June 23 and I have yet to receive a letter and/or a phone call.
He is my only child, my best friend, and my most favorite person in this world. We grew up together as I had him at 16 years of age. I miss him soooo much. I miss our Sunday talks when he tells me every thing he and his friends did that weekend (sometimes it was crazy talk but atleast we were talking).
