My son reminded me I was a Navy Mom

We really had a very nice Thanksgiving  with our Seaman at home....Had to take him to Norfollk this past weekend(hmmm) is all I can say. I was very impressed to say the least. He asked me "momma are you going to cry," he told me I had to man up since I was a Navy Mom.... I had to be bold and say no~even though I was melting on the inside. He never saw a tear. I am a Proud Navy Mom!!!

Thanksgiving with my Sailor

I have so much to be thankful for. My son called me before 6 am this morning  EXCITED.... to let me know that he passed his final test before he graduated from school today!!!!  After lunch I got another call to tell me he had Graduated. About an hour or so later. He called me to tell me "He loved me and thank you momma" I was a little teary eyed......but still thankful!

Home sick Momma

Today has been a real challenge for me. I think that I am the one that is homesick. Missing my son. I know that he is off to bigger and better things in his life and I am so thankful for that. I just miss my son. He always know the right words to put a smile on my face. Thankful for a better day. I know that I would have days like this......Just to hear him say "Momma or Michelle" would be priceless.

My first letter

I have been running to the mailbox everyday....got home today to two letters in the mailbox. I am so happy! I knew he was fine already. Too know he is staying focused and staying out of trouble and doing well. Made me day! He said that he did not even know what day of the week it is.

My son just left and I got the box...

I am very proud of my child for joining the Navy. I know when I see him again he will have matured much than I could ever imagine. Today the box came and it hit me. I did not cry when he left, but it hit me today he is not at home. I can't  text him to see what he is doing or to remind him I love him. I can't just call his phone to ask him how his day going. I know that he is purposed for greatness. I have no doubt that… Continue
