NICE LETTER HOME

Alex sent us a really nice letter this week, it was two pages front and back. I was so excited I couldn't hardly stand myself. She is doing really good and learning lots of stuff. At the knowledge bee they did she made it down to the last two out of 80 so she was really proud of herself. She said her and the other girl both missed their last question so it was all good.

When they finally make it to her she's going to have a book to read. I'm so proud of her and I love and miss her very much. I… Continue

She also stated that she got a really nice pair of shoes for PT. We all laughed at that. We had an image in our minds of the big shoes that you have to shine… Continue

leaving for boot camp.

Well today is the day Alex has been waiting for. Boot Camp. She is excited about going and getting a new adventure started. I don't think she has been at all nervous about her decision. I'm looking forward to her phone call home tonight. I sure hope I don't miss it. The one thing she commented most about were the shots they give them at MEPPS. She was not ready for them at all. Maybe she got some sleep last night in Charlotte. If I were there I would have been wired all night. Then again… Continue
