Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

NICE LETTER HOME
Alex sent us a really nice letter this week, it was two pages front and back. I was so excited I couldn't hardly stand myself. She is doing really good and learning lots of stuff. At the knowledge bee they did she made it down to the last two out of 80 so she was really proud of herself. She said her and the other girl both missed their last question so it was all good.
Her and her bunk mate are not doing so good at working as a team but I'm sure with enough hits they'll get it together. I told her to keep focused and encourage her bunk mate. Maybe in the end they'll pull together.
She said there have been problems with dehydration in her unit and the importance of drinking all you can.
The weather has been warmer than usual so I'm sure it's been a factor.
They did their base line and she felt really good about her performance said she has some work to do but feels it'll go fine. No problems so far.
I'm glad she's doing good and well on her way to graduation. It's going to be wonderful to see the changes in her.
