Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

This is day 6 of boot camp for my son : ) I am anxiously awaiting a call from him... Really nervous but I am thankful for this forum to talk to other Mom's just like me : ) When did anyone get their first call ???

YES, YES, YES !!! YOU WE'RE SO RIGHT TORI'S MOM !!! It's DAY 10 and I GOT MY CALL !!! DID MY HAPPY DANCE AND EVERYTHING : ) LOL !!! FINALLY heard my son's voice TODAY !!! He sounded soon tired and he caught a cold so he's sick, but I asked him, "are you gonna make son", and he said YES !!! That's what I needed to hear, that he is ok and he's gonna make it !!! Graduation is 27 March 15 !!! I can't wait to see him !!! Thank u for your encouraging words !!!

Hi Mychael's mom and Tori's mom. My son left for bootcamp Jan. 27th. I got my homesick call yesterday and my form letter was in the mail yesterday evening. He sounded real good, but is really homesick. I kept encouraging him to hang in there, that it will get better. Hope you get your call soon.

That is FABULOUS!!!!!!!! So happy for you.... I can only imagine how excited and the dancing that went on!! I'm sure it made his day to hear the excitement and happiness in your voice! So sorry to hear he has a cold but what a great thing to hear- that he's ok and goi g to make it! How could he not make it?? He has the BEST support and cheerleader in his corner :-). And graduation will be here before you know it!
I had to laugh at you next comment about the hotel- I could feel your excitement!! Lol. And no I haven't made any reservations yet- but as soon as I have a date I will be doing so! Don't worry you will hear as soon as I hear from my chickie!! The whole world may hear my happy scream! Lol!!!!!

Tammy- happy you gut that long awaited call and form letter... Had to have felt good even if he was home sick. My daughter left this past Tuesday so I have sometime before I get anything.. I'm counting the days! Good luck to your son!!!

Your HAPPY is coming soon too !!! I'll be watching for the email : ) My son said he can home every Saturday now, so my heart and mind are now at ease ♡ He said he wrote me a letter already, so I will be EXCITED to check my mail everyday !!! I have his address now too, so I will be mailing my first cards off on tomorrow : ) looking forward to your HAPPY MESSAGES once you get your call and address : )
