Letter dated 4/5/12 - Div 924 has received all of their fitted dress uniforms and service tans and took their individual pictures. They can order pics this week. They have earned the privilege to write more on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as Sunday.
Letter dated 4/9/12 - Said that today (4/9/12) begins week 5, day 1. Div 924 has earned the Academic and I think Athletic flags (couldn't read his writing). They will be doing fire training/safety this week. Started practicing cadences last Friday, 4/6. Says that Div 924 continues to work well and they are getting excited for PIR. Said that Easter Sunday was great. And the best news of all, he said that he should be getting a phone call sometime this week, either Tuesday or Friday! Hope that means that other 924 moms will get one as well!
Keep your phone with you 24/7! Don't be shocked if you hear others get calls and you don't, the first time my son's Div got to call it seemed like everyone else got a call but me. He called the like 5 days later. He had watch when everyone else was calling.
Sorry, I don't mean to sound negative, just trying to give you heads up. It sounds like you received some good upbeat letters. Hope you are able to make it to PIR, it's wonderful!
My son said he would be calling this Friday, April 20th. Letter dated 4/7/12 said they passed there drill inspection which is great and have a 2nd test mostly on line handling, history, customs and basic ship knowledge. He's been studying really hard to pass.
