Today, one week ago, the recruiter picked up our son, yes on Father's day at 4 pm.  He got to basic on Monday.  Does anyone else have a son or daughter in that time frame?  Where do we find out their expected grad. date, so that we can make travel arrangements?  This past week has been full of many emotions...from being sad and crying to my heart being filled up with pride.  I wonder what he did today and the day before and the day before.  I read that they had 5 hours off today, i do hope that i get a letter this week.  Is there anyway that we can find out their address, so that we may start writing?  if you would like to join me so that we could build a bond ~~ just let me know.  Thanks and Many Blessings, Cindy

I figured it out... DUH!! I can just look at the profile... still getting used to this site.  Hang in there as with most things it's bitter sweet. I think I'm fine then I cry. I thought oh... it's just the boys stuff, 15 min later here come the tears.

My son arrived late and called at midnight, I got the call... then thought if he'd left a message I could atleast hear his voice.

i got his address from his recruiter.  his PIR is 12 August.  Got the official form letter from Naval Base and his little 5 line write in the space note. I sent off 5 letters and cards from his aunts, neighbors & my friend...I'm writing every other day now.  He was hungry for letters - don't send care packages, i read where 1 mom sent jelly beans and his RDC made him push-up's and eat every jelly bean off the floor everytime his chin touched the floor.   my son said he was a yelling, screaming, ship hungry robot...lol and he is "master at arms" - elected by his RDC's.  proud of my son - can't wait to see him - bless, Cindy
