Today, one week ago, the recruiter picked up our son, yes on Father's day at 4 pm.  He got to basic on Monday.  Does anyone else have a son or daughter in that time frame?  Where do we find out their expected grad. date, so that we can make travel arrangements?  This past week has been full of many emotions...from being sad and crying to my heart being filled up with pride.  I wonder what he did today and the day before and the day before.  I read that they had 5 hours off today, i do hope that i get a letter this week.  Is there anyway that we can find out their address, so that we may start writing?  if you would like to join me so that we could build a bond ~~ just let me know.  Thanks and Many Blessings, Cindy

I got stinky box today...I am so glad to read I am not the only mommy that wants to keep the clothes dirty in the box. Mainly to show my son once he comes home to remind him of the boy he was when he went in and what a man he has become. I spoke to his recruiter today and he told me that I should recieve either a letter from my son or a postcard with all his information, what div, what ship, location, etc...which ever comes first.  Looks like we should get it this week since most of daddy day recruits have gotten their letters already, we are only a few days after them.  My son left from Arizona on 6/22. Thanks for all the info mommies!

Thank you Denise for that info. I was going to call his recruiter but now I will wait for the form letter. I want to make sure he gets his mail.

my recruiter gave me the correct address - didn't have a problem with that or him - he has been getting all his mail...guess the Texas recruiter's are the best

Just reading through all the posts.  My daughter arrived at GL last night.  I got her call just after 10 (CDT)  it was good to know that she made it and was ok.  I can't wait  but also dread getting "The Box"   nice to see that I am not alone in my fears, tears, joy and pride.
