This was posted today on fB:

At this time the liberty period for those graduating on Nov. 21 is as follows:

Recruits attending "A" school in Great Lakes will depart on 21 Nov and report to their new command.  Following normal check-in procedures, they will be authorized liberty
Wednesday, 21 Nov and Thursday, 22 Nov.
Recruits attending "A" school outside of Great Lakes will depart RTC 23 Nov. They will be authorized liberty Wednesday, 21 Nov and Thursday,  22 Nov.

Here are my suggestions based on that information.

If your Sailor is staying in GL for training or "A" School, s/he will call you on Wednesday after s/he checks in at the TSC, which takes about 3-5 hours, and will have Liberty until Liberty expires that night at 10, but you must drop him/her off about 30 minutes before to give him/her time to get to his/her barracks. Then s/he will have daytime Liberty (pick up 6:30 or 7 am and drop off 9:30 pm or so) each day of the 4 day weekend.  S/He can take his/her cell phone back to the TSC  Wednesday night and have him/her bring his/her black backpack at least one of the other days so you can send things back with him/her.  Plan to arrive at GL on Tuesday and go to Sarge's Meet and Greet (PIR 11/02/2012 SARGE'S MEET AND GREET) and maybe part of the PIR 11/21/2012 Ramada Meet and Greet that evening and plan to leave late Sunday or on Monday to give you the most time with your Sailor.

If your Sailor flies out, on the day of PIR, your Sailor will have Liberty from about 10:30 am when Liberty is called until sometime in the evening (usually around 8 to 9 pm) and s/he will need to be back at the RTC about a half hour before Liberty expires to be certain to get back to the ship on time. S/He will have daytime Liberty for Thanksgiving (pick up may be around 7 or 8 am and drop off that evening around 8 or 9 pm) and fly out on Friday. Only your Sailor will know his/her flight arrangements for certain. S/He will let you know what airport s/he will fly out of and when so you can meet him/her at the airport and spend time with him/her before his/her flight and give him/her his/her cell phone, laptop, and other things that will fit in his/her black backpack. Plan to arrive at GL on Tuesday and go to Sarge's Meet and Greet (PIR 11/02/2012 SARGE'S MEET AND GREET) and maybe part of the PIR 11/21/2012 Ramada Meet and Greet that evening and plan to leave late Friday or on Saturday to give you the most time with your Sailor.

Some Sailors will have watch at some time during Liberty and if that affects your Sailor, be sure to have him/her back about 30 minutes before that.  If Liberty has not expired when your Sailor's watch is up, you will be able to pick him/her up and continue with Liberty.

If you haven't joined the group, PIR 11/21/2012 TG 2 – 11 Divisions (009-018 & 902), be sure to do so to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.
