For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

2nd and 3rd PRT Test
Just a quick question. Does anyone know if they fail the 2nd or 3rd run do they send them home like failing the first run or do they just hold them back till they pass and delay the graduation?! Thanks in advance.

Hi Tina_Proud Momma welcome. I will put some sites that will explain to you about the run. hope it helps.
On about their fifth business day at the RTC, the new recruits are tested on the 1.5 mile run of the first Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) at boot camp. The initial run standard for male recruits will be 16 minutes 10 seconds and 18 minutes 7 seconds for female recruits. See Navy Sets New Physical Fitness Standard to Start Boot Camp. Those who pass continue with BC. Those who do not pass are moved to FIT and will be retested in 48 hours and must pass in order to continue at the RTC. FIT: Fitness Improvement Training; Recruits who have failed the Official PFA (most often by failing the swim or run) are sent here for intensive training in order to pass the test prior to having BST. Recruits may also be assigned to FIT within the first few weeks at the RTC; they are typically there for 2 weeks and upon completion will be assigned to a new division with a new PIR date. You are welcome, if you need anything else please reach out. How long has your SR. been in? have you received any Calls in regards to that. I will put another site in regrds to the form letter.
