My boyfriend John left for boot camp about 3 days ago. It was the hardest thing to do, saying good bye to him. I'll never get the image of him walking away from me and back into his hotel out of my head. I gave him a letter to take with him to read on the plane and he called me one last time when he landed. I could not stop crying! I was prepared for all of the goodbyes and everything I just couldn't help but cry. I can't wait for the day when I get the first letter from him in my mailbox. Also, he told me to make sure I still keep in touch with his parents while he leaves, and make sure they're doing alright without him. I just don't want to feel clingy or I wouldn't know if they just want space or what. Should i stop over there? He said i should get my nails done with his mom but idk if thats really necesary idk!
Someone help!
If I were his parents I would love to see you. You will remind them of him and vise versa. You could help each other. Good Luck! Being a Navy girlfriend/wife is very hard. Trust will keep you going. I've been where you are and now my son is in bc.
Personally; My boyfriends Mom and 2 sisters and I are extremely close. So close that his mom now calls me her "future-DIL" haha. I stay the night out there every weekend for one night at least, and hangout with all of them. & Take care of my bf and I's puppy. I think that making it a point to see them weekly(If possible, my boyfriends family lives about 45 minutes from me,) but if not, at least call them or text them weekly, or daily. I think it's made my bf and I grow stronger, being that he has 110% support from his family and me.
