OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

It seems like forever since i've blogged on here. John graduates on the 16th of September! But shortly after he's getting surgery..delaying his transition to A School in SC. He called me this last friday! I I think i may have blown his ear drum completely off by screaming ahaha i saw the "847" area code and just freaked out. I could tell he was thrilled i answered the phone that way though haha. :) We only talked…

My SR seems to be doing pretty good out there in GL. He's got 28 days to go i believe thank goodness! But in his latest letter to me he said during his latest physical they discovered a hernia and is getting surgery immediately after boot camp, and will be residing there under recovering for an additional 6 weeks before he  can actually go to South Carolina. Now, I know that he'll be in good hands out there..but i'm so worried about him. He'll…

Oh my goodness i can't believe the one second i don't look at my phone or i'm driving and don't hear it i miss it! I remember looking at the time too and i thought of him and HE WAS CALLING ME!#&^@*#&^ I can't believe it. He left a voicemail saying he loves me and stuff :( I can't believe it! I seriously cannot believe it! When do they get another call do you guys know?! Help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pleassseeeee

I finally got a letter from my SR today:))! He kept saying how much he misses mee and loves me and wants to see me. Ahhh this really is the best feeling ever. :) I had a feeling when i woke up today that I'd get a letter from him. and it was there!:) i immediately went to the post office and sent out all 9 of my letters haha i'm sure he'll be thrilled :)
