almost done with BC just wondering one thing though..

It seems like forever since i've blogged on here. John graduates on the 16th of September! But shortly after he's getting surgery..delaying his transition to A School in SC. He called me this last friday! I was.so.excited. I think i may have blown his ear drum completely off by screaming ahaha i saw the "847" area code and just freaked out. I could tell he was thrilled i answered the phone that way though haha. :) We only talked for a good 3 minutes 41 seconds according to my phone but it was perfect. In the middle of our call though one of his shipmates interupted us to ask him if he was crying..haha i was like awww John are you? And he was like Noo! I don't know if he was lying or not:) I'm sure they were just tears of joy! Those 3 minutes were the perfect amount of time to just tell eachother "i love you & I miss you" over and over again. And he enjoys getting like 4 letters from me every other day :)

I did have a question..he kept saying to me that he'd be able to come home for my senior prom..but i honestly don't see how that'd be possible..isn't there a certain mile range you have to stay within while your in A School? And i'm sure he can't just pick that day to leave can he? I'm trying not to get my hopes up incase he won't be allowed to come you know? Lemme know what the rules are girls! Thanks:)

Most commands is a 300 mile policy for liberty.  Meaning they can travel without taking leave time within 300 miles of the base.  Once his school day is done on Friday, liberty begins.  If you are more than 300 miles or if he needs to take Friday off - he will need to put in a leave chit and request the time off.  Most commands would not be happy to approve time away from school for a prom but let's hope for the best!

A-school in SC...is John going to be a Nuke? If so, check the Nuke Moms group and read some of the discussions. Alot of your questions would be answered their. BTW-all are welcome to Nuke Moms--wives, gfs, dads....
