Today it is 38 days Until My Son leaves for BC  and we spend the day Together Today Just my son and I

that was one of the many things on the list today until he leaves, we had such a wonderful day laughing and chatting and just having a good time , I took him to breakfast to a resturant that was on the food network , we then found a cute cup cake shop cause everything is better with  a cupcake :) then we went to an indoor go cart racing place, we were the only ones there so we had the track to our selves lots of laughs, then we ventured to a potry paint shop and we painted some trinkets it was just nice to sit and chat with my son and enjoy every stinky moment in the car together , i found myself hanging on to his every word and just making sure i was very present in the moments i wanted to remember him just as he was today so innocent, my sweet mommas boy,

in the days to come I have started a project where i will take one photo of my son everyday just in his everyday routine so i will be carrying it with me where ever we go to document the last 30 days of my boy, starting to check things off on the things to do before he leaves list and plan his farewell party starts tomorrow

staying busy helps the tears to not fall to often, but i still find myself crying out of no where, its so hard to imagine what life will be like when he is gone

Today is 38 days till my son leaves for BC also. I can tell you really have a mother's heart and it is breaking right now with pride and sorrow. How can we feel both these emotions at the same time??? I'm not sure we can prepare for what is coming, I've read everything on this site in hopes that something will prepare me for that day I have to say good-by to my baby boy, but so far I don't feel prepared.  Just hopeing my faith will kick in on Oct. 1 and I won't embarass him at the airport.  LOL! I am so happy and proud of his decision and know that he is ready for a change in his life, but I kinda liked him close and the ability to see and talk to him every day.  Don't know what it will be like to not have that liberty.  Let's stay in touch and support each other through this adventure.  I know I'll need you.................

Sending best wishes to you both! Who knows? you might both turn out to be stronger than you think (have to admit, I wasn't!). Hang in there, you still have some time to enjoy your future recruit!

Hi Ladies so Now my son is leaving 9/26 I guess it starts now, im not one to be out of control and when we got the call yesterday i was so upset , we had a trip planned with my son that we have to cancel now, but after the shock and disappointment wore off its time to focus now, my son has 29 days left at home i have to make every minute count, i have to get his going away party planned, and make sure no matter what we do we get all the time in with him we can, and the sooner he leaves the sooner we get to see him again !

yes lets stay in touch for sure, i am finding that many dont know what im going through unless you are in the situation its hard for them to understand how i can be so much a mess and strong at the same time .........
