Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

i guess this is the beginning of my life as a navy wife.
even tho im only a fiance now i still have all the duties of a wife. my sailor, patrick, is starting his journey in the united states navy on october 26, 2011. i am so proud of him and all that he will accomplish in this career path. i am however a little devestated that he is leaving the only life ive known since highschool ended. the one where he and i are together. im soooo scared to be forgotten by him but i have to trust him and know that he loves me and nothing will change that :) i know im in for a huge change but i say bring it on baby!!! let this brilliant new life begin!!

I am sure you will both do fine, and the Navy will give you a promising future. I would recommend you spend time with God when things get lonely or you get fearful. He will help you both through this.

I read your other post about not knowing how to deal with it all and just wanting to cry on his shoulder. Trust me, I've been through it all. My sailor left in April and he finally gets to come home next week. Before he left, I was a wreck. I was mad, sad, depressed, proud, etc etc. I didn't know how I was suppose to tell him how I was feeling, and I was mad because he didn't ask me.. but what I realized was that it's not that he didn't care, he just didn't know how to say it either. The first week will be so hard, but then the packet comes with his address and PIR date! He gets to write a little letter on the bottom, and it's usually the sweetest little letter in the world and you'll read it over and over! Those two months that he's gone, he's gonna miss you more than you'll know. And when you finally get to go to graduation (it comes faster than you think!) they open up these big garage doors and all the recruits start walking in and your heart falls to the bottom of your stomach (I get teary eyed just writing this), but trust me it's the best feeling in the world, and it all becomes so worth it!! The letters are sweeter than you ever thought he could be, and it doesn't stop after bootcamp! Don't worry! If you ever need anyone to talk to you can look me up on facebook (Jamie Veatch Fulford) :)
