My step-son left yesterday, the 9th, headed for boot camp.  We are so very proud of him and cannot wait to see him at his PIR!

Our boys have family names, but it was so neat to see where you were from. For being your only child I can't imagine how your heart feels because Dayton was my right hand man since his dad is in law enforcement and mine has been real heavy.

It's been a week since I got my phone call! It feels like it's been forever since I've talked to him. I know he's doing something that pushing him mentally and physically... I'd love to know how he's holding up. I check the mail everyday in hopes that his letter is there so I can send him a letter. How's everyone else holding up?

My son, Christopher, from Oxnard, Ca,  left on Wed, April 5th. I got his box of clothes on Monday the 9th - i don't even want to wash his sweatshirt b/c it smells of him. I can't wait to hear from him. I have 2 children (1boy/1girl).  We are so proud of him. LoL - the house is too quiet without him.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who couldn't wash an article of clothing... I too couldn't wash my sons sweatshirt. This first week has been tough. I'm now eagerly awaiting my sons letter home.

My son Roy left on April 4th from Texas and I also received the box on Monday. I too check the mail everyday sometimes a few times a day. I have been keeping myself busy by making crafts like wreath's, etc. I too miss my son so much and like you said teresar it is very quiet at home.
