PS I received the box but the return address is so tiny, and from what I understand I have to wait for the first letter with the return address to write back.  is this accurate information?  I have already written him 3 letters.  as a side note, see the movie Road TRip with Barbara Streisand.  I made my son go with me to see it before he left.

Hello everyone hope you are all doing good. Has anyone gotten the box yet? or the form letter? anxiously waiting, would like to book my flights and make reservations. If anyone knows the PIR date for the SR's that left on 1/23/2013 please post. Thank You

Somoza's Mom, You will have to wait on the form letter to know the PIR date for certain.  The most likely date is 03/22/2013, but it could be the week before if your SR was one of the last to fill the division--more likely for those arriving on a Monday or Tuesday than Wednesday, but still possible.

Thank You lemonelephant!!! Just missing my son and can't wait to see him.

dcookie27, yes, you need to wait on the form letter before sending letters-any address on/in the box would most likely not be the address you will write to. Check out Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit for more on that.  You may also want to check out the other Pages.

My first day back to work since my son left on 1/23, the box was delivered today but was'nt left because I was not here:[ So my day ended sadly. I just wanted to see and hold his clothes. This has been a very difficult week for me, hopefully work will keep me busy and time will fly.

Hope everyone is holding up o.k.  We received his Box today.  No form letter yet.

Somoza's Mom - I am so sorry you missed the Box and hope you will get it tomorrow.  :(    While my older son was in Marine bootcamp I used to keep a notebook at my bedside and everynight I would write about what went on in our house.  He told me he could write a sitcom with the stories I wrote!!  It helped me to make him feel like he was still here and not missing what was going on.  I hope you feel better and find the Box on your doorstep tomorrow!!
