Keep your ears open and your mouth shut, and make sure your sense of humor stays intact. Pay attention!

Eat at the airport before you get to the USO on the O'Hare end.  Nap on the plane ride, as they will keep you up for a looooong time. Be prepared for an emotional crash during the first week or two.  It is normal to HATE something about boot camp right away.

Welcome aboard, shipmate.  If I could do it, and I'm a wimp, you can do this!

"Not going down without a fight" I mean is I'm not gonna make it hard for the RDCs to break me, I mean if boot goes to kick my butt to where I nearly think I can't do this, I'm getting back up and continueing
