Jennifer its casual, really up to you, some wore jeans, some wore dresses. Its going to be freezing over there I suggest jeans boots gloves scarf the whole winter gear. and they the Sailors will be in white. check the weather you may want to take an umbrella because it has been rainy if I'm not mistaken. hope this helps. and Congratulations to your New Sailor, what a Proud moment,
Yea I guarantee you everyone will be bundled up, and if you can get a small cushion to sit on, sitting on the bleachers for 2 hours will make your behind sore. lol my husband kept telling me I didn't need one and guess who kept wanting to take it from me. we sat at the top and we got amazing pics and video. Have a Great time! and Congratulations on your New Sailor to be, what a very proud moment for him and your family! May his Journey be blessed!
My daughter graduated 2 years ago in November. It was coooooolllllldddddd. We went with a nice sweater, jeans and scarves, hats, etc. What a wonderful experience to see her after all of the boot camp stress, a moment I won't ever forget! Congratulations! Best wishes to you for a wonderful reunion and a great Navy experience for your son! Hooyah!!!!
Be prepared for it to be cold and if it is not then just remove your coat. If you watch last week's PIR all the sailors arrived in heavy coats and earmuffs
Hi Jennifer sorry when my son graduated Sept. 1st he was in his white suit and took pictures in his Blues, they must of turned it around. I suggest go warm the degrees over there on the weather channel looks very cold, that is if your used to weather like that, if not I say bundle up!
Our son graduated 10/20. You will see all sorts of dress, casual to very dressy. We were told to dress to the event and this is a very formal Navy ceremony. Yes, you sit for a long time, and yes it might be cold, but you only get to do it once! Your sailor will look very sharp!
Think business casual or church nice. This time of year they have switched to their dress blues. You will want to dress nicely, but not formally. Wear something you like well enough to have pictures taken in! Jeans are okay if they're nice, and boots are a good idea. Be sure to have a scarf and gloves. Layers are great, because it can get warm in the hall.
Don't they switch to blues in the fall/winter like Anti M said?
