Hello all,
Mama Howdawg sharing some of her day with you all.
Well my girl has been in the Navy for 15 days. Only 39 days left.
I still haven't heard from Sami but the Navy says that "No news is good news" and I am happy with that. I miss her everyday and this is the longest we have gone without talking. I pray for her safety and courage and determination each day and that she is focused and becoming the woman she desires to be. I am very proud of her.
Since we are heading into week three I am hoping this Sunday she will be able to make a call home and we can visit for a few if they are allowed. I know that she will want to call several people (boyfriend and his family, brother and aunt) so we shall see how it goes. I have written her letters and had cards made at Wal-Mart Photography of pictures of her friends and family so she can have as much of home with her as she can. I go the idea off Pinterest (cause they are the bomb) to make the background of your letter hold a watermark of a photo so that the stationary has pictures on it too. Such a great idea. I sent pictures of dog, etc. LOL...She will laugh.
I hope you all are doing well.
I have booked my flights and hotel for graduation on May 13th. Its going to be a long wait but so amazing to see her all grown up. :) I remember when my step-son graduated at the MCRD in San Diego in the Marines. He was a physically changed man. Not the same young man that left but this amazing grown up and he has been amazing ever since.
Have the best night.
Love to all and best wishes,
Mama Howdawg.
