Finally the form letter has arrived:):):)

A txt from my husband came to me at work last night that stated " he has sent a letter" :):) I could not get home quick enough to open it. With hopes that something would be written in it from him, I opened it in record speed. It had no written message but it did have all of the information I have been waiting on so I was completely happy with that. His handwriting , which is normally not that well, was very nicely written in all CAPS and in correct format. As this, I had to laugh , because with just that little information I know that there are changes going on:)

As of this morning , I addressed all of his letters ( I will not disclose how many..LOL ) and about ran the mailman over getting to the mailbox before him to make sure all of them were on that truck and on the way to him for mail call!!!

As he embarks on this journey, it is also a journey for me and each step of the way is a new adventure!!! I am still so proud of him but miss him like crazy but with these little steps and signs (like his handwriting ) I just have to tell myself that he is out there doing what he has always wanted to do , and as a mom know that he is now living it!!!! Gotta love the journey!!!

Next step.... LETTERS!!!!!!

Funny, I thought the same thing about my son's envelope.  Had it not been for the lower case letters in our street name, I wouldn't have recognized the handwrititing as his at all.  It's so military like.  My dad used to write like that also (he was retired Navy).  There were no little handwritten notes in my form letter either.  And don't feel bad about the # of letters you put in the mail.  I had 9 ready to go but chose to only send them out 2 at a time.  I didn't want to overwhelm him and have him get them all at once and then I could hear in my head him saying, "Seriously mom?"  So I figured I'd spare him :0)

Congrats on your letter I am still waiting for my son to write or call again.  Waiting is difficult with the graduation coming up soon.
