Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am notorious for never checking mail but this past week I've checked every day. I got the address from her recruiter and checked it against the Recruit Training Command Link and it checked good. All I can do is wait now.
So to keep busy I made lodging reservations at the Navy Lodge. If I don't have the correct PIR I figure I can always change my reservation. I just wish my letter would hurry and get here.

Yay Kylesmom i also got the form letter barely today and im so excited that she is in contact! she is ship 11 div 340 so now i know that my daughter is probably making some great friends from all the stuff that i read from the moms im almost sure. Im so very proud of my almost sailor!!!!!!

The letter came, the letter came, the letter came. I held it so tight and just smiled and smiled. my husband works nights so i was gonna save it til morning, but he called and said "OPEN IT!" Ship 11, Div. 339. Let the letter mailing begin!
