Working on the list of things to do before our son ships. Learning lots of things as he has never been so open in his discussions before. We have always had the open door you can tell us anything policy, but seems I am meeting a grown man standing where my baby used to stand. I love his willingness to learn and the fierceness of his passion on things he cares most about. I truly cannot wait to see what his future holds and I pray the opportunity he now possesses will take him places I can only dream about. We raised our sons to make their own choices and to be responsible for any and all consequences. We raised our sons to be kind and to love regardless. We raised our boys to always use their manners to not be afraid of being different. As a mother, I never dreamed I would send both of my children off to do military service, but then again I am not really surprised. I am a praying momma and in the next few weeks God is going to hear from me with every breath I take. I look forward to the journey ahead and as always said to my oldest when he deployed "Same Stars, Same Moon, More than Life itself" 3 weeks and 2 days and my house will be quiet, we will have an empty nest after more than 30 years.
