hi all i was wondering if anybody has had this problem or has thought on it. My son changed his last name before going to bc we told his recruiter this was going to be happening from the moment he first saw them, when the paperwork for the name change was final the recruiter said were not going to change it here( even though they had time to) it will get done in bootcamp well he gets to bc and they say they will do it around the third week but didnt and kept putting him off now they say to have it done in a school. the whole point was to start his navy life with the new last name his social is under his new last name. now he and i are both worried that he will get some kind of flack for this not being done already. any thoughts ideas or suggestions?

he know he has to " step up" and get it done and has tried and tried and he just keeps getting yelled at for trying or getting the royal run around, hence the problem, I was hoping for suggestions since we already know it a problem.  i guess he will just have to go to the chaplain and legal to get some results

That must be so frustrating, and I know you are searching for answers. The best I can do is help you pray it gets cleared up quickly. I wish I could do more...but if there is one thing we have witnessed having our son at boot camp and dealing with some of the things he has had to go through, there is power in prayer!

OH...and I noticed you're from Yelm. We moved to Texas from South Hill seven years ago. I sure miss your part of the world!
