I am all excited! I received my letter from my son. It was very short, but it was wonderful to read. He is in on Ship 04 Division 020 with a graduation of 12/16. Got the address to write him a letter. Does anyone know why he can only have 4 guest at the graduation?

My son left out of Des Moines at the same time and is on ship 4 div. 020, graduating 12/16 as well. We just got his letter (note) yesterday and I am busy writing today. Just came on here for a little support while writing to support him. So happy for you! I know how elated his brothers and I are to hear from our Nick and be able to contact him now. I'm so happy to just hear from him, I'm glad others have the presence of mind to ask questions. The comments are helpful to me too.

I am so glad to hear about the possibility of extra people that get to go... my husband's parents are wanting to go but there is myself, my husband and my daughter already and my son want's his cousin who is Army to go. I am going to hope for the best when they come. Alex's box came the same day as his letter with his graduation information. I was surprised to see they made him send everything including his skivvies :0).

I sent him a letter the very next day and have a few more that I am sending out today. Passing out his address was so exciting as there will be letters heading his way soon.

The refundable tickets - do I really need to buy those? They suggest it, but how often does a recruit not graduate on time? Should I wait to get the tickets? So early to have so many worries, but I am just so excited for him and for his future. I am really thankful for this site.

Thanks Barb. Even with booking closer I bet the prices will be better than what I am finding on refundable. OUCH
