For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Graduation
So Jeb's graduation was amazing! He graduated from Great Lakes on March 9th and was in Division 083...The Hall of Fame Division! It was everything I thought it was going to be. I cried the minute the hangar doors were raised and saw the first set of feet coming through, not even knowing which division was his division at the time. And then I saw him and I have never been prouder in my life! The short time we got with him before he headed off to Pensacola was very precious to me. I still can't believe how fast our time together went. One short day was all we had. But he gets leave in a month before he goes to Washington to the USS John C. Stennis. And then, who knows how long it will be till I see him again. That's going to be harder for me than letting him go to boot camp! Some of his buddies from Great Lakes are at Pensacola with him now so that's good. If anyone else was in Div 083 let me know. We met up with parents of a boy from Florida and didn't know it till after graduation but he and my son were bunkmates at boot camp. Funny that we ended up sitting together at graduation and didn't even realize our boys were bunkmates!
Gotta run for now. I wish I could get on here more than I do right now but my computer has a nasty virus and till I get it fixed I'm stuck to checking in at work. Take care all!
