I was feeling sad today wondering about my son and I got my first letter from him today. He is doing good I so happy to hear from. Do anyone know how often they can call or if they can call?
Yea, which Ship/Div. Bella and I have kids in brother/sister Div and are anxious when It's our turn for a letter.
Shawanda11, I'm glad you got that first "real" letter. I'm sure the Thanksgiving holiday delayed your letter some, but fourteen to twenty days (as yours was) is the norm though. See the Page, Phone Cards and Phone Calls, within the group, Boot Camp Moms, for information on phone calls. (Those are both clickable links and join the group while you are there; there is a lot of great info and supprt there for you.)
Bella and Melissa, see Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit (clickable link). Shawanda's recruit shipped about a week before yours on the 6th. I expect that she will get another letter later this week and that you will get your first letters as well since your recruits probably got to write yesterday.
my daughter left for bc 5 Nov and we got our 1st real letter today. It was dated 18 nov but I'm guessing with tgiving it delayed it getting here till today
My son left nov8th I have had to calls first on a Saturday and the Second was last Friday. i got my real letter from him on Wednesday of this week. It was pretty awesome. He told me the rdcs have been hard on him but one day when they were on the track working out one of the meanist rdcs told him to come over. He told me in the letter letter that the rdc call him an asshole and he just aye aye petty officer then he told my Son that he was going to be a great Sailor and he told him I think so too. Then the rdc told him to get the hell away from him lol. It will all be ok. Sry for the language but thats how they talk to them. I amso proud of him Ihad to tell someone. Good Luck
