Hi, good morning all!! I wanted to ask, how do the holidays affect PIR? My son left the week of Thanksgiving, so he will be in boot camp for all upcoming holidays. I didn't know if this pushed back PIR a week or so, or how it worked.

Thanks so much! I miss him like crazy!!

My son left the week before Thanksgiving and it did not push back his PIR date

I know how you feel about missing him.  I got a phone call yesterday from him.  I so needed it.

Law99, thank you! I know they have "days off" for official holidays, and with there being 4 federal holidays between November and the end of January, I'm not sure how that works.

Hi Dominique - the holiday's shouldn't affect his PIR date.  Have you received the official form letter yet?  You might be looking at a 1/17/2020 PIR date.
