FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Is there anyone that has a chld graduating Power school Feb.25th and heading to Prototype school in Ballston Spa NY? A

Hello I am looking for any parents or other that has someone Graduating Power school February 25th and heading to Ballston Spa New York for Prototype school.my son is a ET his class is 1006-4 he is to start school March 14th please reply  thank you!

Dana, it's a great feeling to see that something I posted months ago make a difference for someone. I am also delighted to see you here helping others. The concept of paying it forward is really works. On my page, just underneath the profile photos of my friends, you will find a list of discussions that I had started. Above the matrix of my friends, you'll find Blog Posts, Discussions and a number next to the titles - this indicates the number of comments I have made on other members Blogs and Discussions. If you scroll down the page, you'll find the Blogs that I had started too ("Welcome New Members" is good for many of our newbies). You can always see what I had written if you think the information can be of use to a new member on the  I have sent you a friend request because my profile is private - visible only to friends.

Not having no luck finding anyone from our group 1006 no where! just 2 in Goose Creek 0 in New York and they really dont have to much to say.it was completely different while our sailors were in A school and power school.well I am glad I can talk to my ET son at least he keeps me informed about things up there.but would be nice to get a parents prospective on some things rather it is NY or Sc,,,,,,,,,,,good luck to all your sailors out there
