Oh my Oh my Oh my, he made it to BC. The call came at 11:34 pm est. I was actually writing a letter to him then. !! LOL !! It was way to short!! Lot's of noise in the background and he sounded so sad and scared. I know he will do just fine and will be ok. I know that they try their best at BC to take care of our babies. I also know they have a job to do to turn them into U.S. NAVY SAILORS!! The best the world can produce!! I am so proud it feels like my chest is going to explode!! I love him so much and feel like a piece is missing from me and I look around at all the stuff he left behind. OHHHH this is going to be so hard. But, I have made up my mind if he can do it so can I! He is going to be getting into shape and so am I!! I plan to start an exercise routine asap. I want to surprise him with how much weight I loose and how good of shape I can be in. I have set this up as a challenge to myself and hope I can keep it!!! I am pretty sure he will get his wisdom teeth cut out this week, and lots of blood work and shots. (OH how he hates that stuff!!) I sit here and don't want to leave to do anything because I feel closer to him when i am on here.

Prayers goign up though and I know he is in God's hands. God has him exactly where he needs to be. In my heart I know this without a shadow of doubt. Now if my head will just get out of the way and let me be with that I'll be ok! LOL!

Well, I do have chores adn work to do so I am signing off for now! I am sure I will have many more updates and blogs to come! Hope I don't bore you to much! Much loves and prayers to our babies turning Sailors!!

Same for you.... Today has gotten harder as it went by. Just give him lots of hugs and tell multiple times how much you love him and how proud you are of him. It helps us and them.

Hi HeatherT and Stacey,  you will both do fine.  My son went to BC last Dec.  You do make it through.  Stay connected on this site as it will help you.  It was the hardest time in my life but I made it and you can too.  Be proud!  The Navy does a great job.  Best of luck to both of you.

Mine called last night around the same time as your's so they are more then likely together. Mine shipped from OKC yesterday. the 19th.  I have a feeling the boys (men) will do better then us mom's. But I keep trying to just keep myself busy and stay positive. Everywhere I look though I see "Him" pictures his car, his clothes. Ha

He will be fine mama, Just believe and breath dont' forget to do that. Join the Sep group because sounds like your in the same PIR as a few of us.

Hugs

Heather, Got my call Tuesday night about 10:30pm Vegas time that he had made it safe.  Received my kid in a box on Friday around 12 noon, yet I was on my way to a quilt retreat in California and had to wait until Sunday night to open it.  He wrote me note on the plane and stuck it in his back pack.  Called the recruiter and he is ship 11, Div 006.  7 more weeks to go.. We can do it!!!  Keep in touch!

Still here and still can not believe he actually went!! So proud of him all the time. I got my box and my form letter... He is in Shop 09 Division 003. His graduation is 11/16/12. Already trying to find flights and get hotel reservations together. Looking forward to seeing the man and Sailor he is becoming! I know it is going to be great! I pray everyday for our soilders/sailors/recruits/veterans. They deserve so much more than we as a country do for them. They help to keep our freedom. Any of you that feel this way also should join the 40 days of fasting and prayer that is going on. It started the 28th of October and continues until election day.  Here is the website. They send you a daily prayer and have phone conferences etc and all sorts of things you can do. Please help me in praying for our young men and women and our country. http://40daystosaveamerica.com/mission.html Thanks to Navy4moms and all of ya'll's support! God bless!

Wow, everything you are saying describes how I feel. I also plan to get in shape while he is gone as a way to keep busy and to work hard like he will be doing. I see your sons graduation is in a little over a week. Congradulations. My son stays the night at the hotel tomarrow and leaves on tuesday and I'm already going crazy.
