Just wanted everybody to know that I am not a Navy Mom, but a Navy boyfriend. My girlfriend left June 14 to go up to Chicago erea, she is in Division 269. She is doing very well which is good. I do have a question, and I hope somebody on here might be able to help me. She wrote that she did not get a lot of letters from me, pretty much saying, that I should write everyday. Which I have been doing. So my question is, is the mail service just slow, or do they withhold mail, until a certain date? Thank you for your help.

I know that my husband has been sending me mail but they are only sending it out on mondays for me to get it on thursday. since you probably started recieving mail before you sent it, youre mail is probably a week behind hers because mine is a week behind my husbands mail. i've heard the RDCs don't hold mail but i could be wrong. but if so weeek three is almost here. =) so chin up. i got my second letter today too.

It takes around two weeks to figure out where they all are. Usually that's when they start getting their mail. RDCs are not supposed to hold mail, but they can be less than quick about it.

Yep, everyone's right.......don't expect her to get it for around 3 weeks. My son's birthday was during those 3 weeks. It was so sad cuz he wrote me saying that today is his birthday and he didn't get any mail.....did I send a birthday card? DID I????? Everyone did but they just weren't delivered to him. He had a ton though when it finally was.

And you are certainly more than welcome here even though you're a boyfriend. :o) Alex's Mom is right, you need to join "Boot Camp Moms."
