My son has been in boot camp for 2.5 weeks now and today I was surprised with a phone call! I was so surprised I actually hung up on him! He called back and we talked for 20 priceless minutes. He told me how much he missed us and included his 4 brothers in that statement. He said a letter from his 8 year old brother moved him to tears. Which made me cry. He said mail call was the best part of the day.
If nothing else......write to these kids and let them know you are here for them. Even if he can't write back, they get the letters and know you love and support them.

What I would like is some help with the "What now?" He graduates 12/13/13...... Currently ship 13 div 038. Going into the nuclear program after boot.......

I want to be an active part of this journey in his life. Suggestions?

Join PIR 12/13/2013 TG 05- 8 Divisions (037-042, 905 and 906) to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.  I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening and other Pages in both groups will help with other things you will want to know about.

Check your My Page for more info.

You should join the Nuke Moms group. However, if you have questions about boot camp please ask those questions in the Boot Camp Moms group. You'll find the Nuke Moms group very informative and supportive but almost 100% have been thru boot camp. You will have so many questions about the nuke program.

http://navyformoms.com/group/nukemoms  - you can go ahead and join the group now, but save your questions, just read and absolve.

Hi Nucmom, my son is graduating from boot camp this Friday the 8th and we can hardly wait. He is also going into the nuclear program. He is from Maryland, maybe we can keep in contact and help each other with this adjustment. :)
