Saying goodbye, leaving home
My how you have grown.
He never saw my tears as I held him tight, said Im proud of you, goodnight.
Those innocent eyes met mine as he entered the room, my heart was saying the time came too soon.
As he raised his right hand to swear in, it was so hard to control the tears within.
It's now your time to shine, you make me so proud and I know you will be fine.
Although you are leaving my baby and the next time I see you, you will be a man, I will always cherish the times you held my hand.
I love you so much my son.. come home when your duty is done...
made me tear up- it's soo true, my daughter leaves in early october for bc.. I cried at her first swearing in..
My son was the first to make me cry during this journey because of what he wrote to my daughter. This poem you wrote for your son marks the second time I cried. I am deeply moved by this...
