Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

My son says he is worried about passing his swim test because he is having problems treading the water. Does anyone know about if he does not pass how long will he have to pass it before he get sent home. My heart breaks for him because he wants to pass really bad.
Most of those who end up going to FIT do enventually pass and go on to be US Navy Sailors--those who don't go on to be Sailors are usually separated due to injuries or other reasons than the PFA. Most who go to FIT are there around 2 weeks or less. See Battle Stations-21 (BST) within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) especially the info in the paragraph that begins "If your SR has not passed all of his/her final tests, he/she will not be allowed to participate in BST until those are passed." You may also want to join that group while you are there and check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the members). There will be a lot of information and support for you in that group as well as in your PIR group.
Thankyou lemonelephant for the information.

My son swims like a rock and finally passed the prone float on the third time. They have people there to train them and help them to pass.
