Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Little Worried

My son says he is worried about passing his swim test because he is having problems treading the water. Does anyone know about if he does not pass how long will he have to pass it before he get sent home. My heart breaks for him because he wants to pass really bad.

I just got off the phone with my son. His voice sound so good to his mothers ears I told him. He is doing good and he has got the letters from me and his family. He said they help so much and he has read every one of them. Hearing his voice made me very very happy. Thankyou again for all the love and support everyone has given me. Many blessings to you all.

Thank you everybody for your support. I got a letter on Thursday I am very happy Now I am waiting for the call. I learned how to use call forwarding so I will not miss another call. Can not thank everyone enough for the support.

My youngest son left for boot training camp on Feb 11. I got the phone call he was there. I missed the second phone call which made me so upset. I had been waiting for that phone call that I thought was coming to my cell phone but he called the house phone while I was out. He rarely called the house before he left. I think he did not know my nor his dad cell by heart. I wrote him and told him to call my cell only if he gets a chance to call again. I have wrote several letters to him every…

Hey there, I'm sorry to hear your son's trouble with treading water. I am not sure how long he will have, but if thats the only thing he can't do, as part of the PT test, i think he will be okay. They should work with him, even though it may not seem that way to him. When did you talk to him last? Treading water can definitely be learned, but takes a little time. Tell him to try really hard to control his breathing. I know thats difficult when your under stress but this parts important. I will pray he passes. Hang in there Mom.
