All I can do is wonder what my son is doing at this moment..What must be going on in his head..I miss him so much. Every time someone mentions his name I get choked up. I cried all night after that first phone call..I'm so proud..

That is exactly how I feel. Painful. This is the first time I could be on this site. It is too hard to think about for very long. I hope it's not this hard for him.

Hi Ladies, I am less than a mile from the Great Lakes RTC. My Mandy graduates tomorrow morning! I have had every emotion you all are having. I have to say, time does fly. A friend told me to journal every day to help with my pain. Although it was a great idea, I decided to write her every day instead. She enjoyed every one of them and doing so kept me sane. I always sent upbeat letters and would include photos of her friends pets family and of course Me! Keep your chin up ladies and as CBsMom said,... Hang it there!

Clara I am at the same point you are. My son had to go thru so many obstacles just to reach boot camp. It took over two years and he finally made it in. He lives in Ohio and I could not even see him off and that killed me...I heard his voice when he called and told me he was at boot camp. That was three weeks ago..Have not received a letter yet...I know that it is coming. Hang in there. you are not alone.
